Jenny Kim, AKA “culturepress,” is a Los Angeles native, a man-lovin’ feminist; a peaceful, humanitarian atheist; an open-minded progressive, and a proud and patriotic American of Korean heritage. She now lives in Sodom (San Francisco), and has lived in Gomorrah (Berkeley) in the past. Beyond politics-in-general, her interests include languages and the arts, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, American history, and civil rights.
She began blogging in September 2008 as a response to the GOP vice presidential nomination of anti-feminist, evangelical MILF Sarah Palin. Jenny has decided that even after the election, she enjoys blogging enough to keep up with the ranting, raving, and sharing of information and ideas through her blog at culturepress.wordpress.com.

I’m a French expatriate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I started a blog 2 years ago to stay in touch with friends and family and tell them about our experience in this extraordinary country, where drivers are allowed to turn on red but should not exceed 65 mph on a straight highway.
But that blog was in French only and I thought that Americans might also be interested in learning how foreign residents view their country “from the inside”, as well as in reconsidering some of the long-life stereotypes about France and the French. For that reason, “Inside America” is now both in French and English, and may also welcome new authors to foster different views about France and/or America.

One last thing: despite all my efforts, I remain a native French speaker and apologize in advance for all the misspelling and bad English that you’ll certainly find in each post!
