One particular thing that annoys me about Neo-Conservativism is this so called “family values” being forced down one’s throat. Why do I need the government or my fellow “conservatives” to tell me what a “family value” is? Do YOU believe that a government should dictate what a “family value” is or should it be up to the individual?
Having as many kids as I can pop out, my husband and I working 16 hours a day while the kids are at day care and bible school, never spending quality time with the husband and kids — while the kids go absolutely nuts without having parents around unless they are with a paddle with spikes on it, and then the kids becoming mentally ill and start committing crimes and/or becoming just as depressed, bitter and as neurotic at their parents just to rinse and repeat into future generations? All under the guise of being a “good Christian” and going to church two times a week? Apparently, this is why the so called “conservatives” like to keep the Mexicans here illegally (work hard – have family values)? Misery loves company? Naw. That’s not for me, folks. And that’s not “pre-Gingrich” Conservatism either. That’s living miserably and expecting everyone to fall into the dirty puddle with you – making the same stupid mistakes in life.
The Radical Conservatives have hijacked Conservatism. What a family value is, should always be protected under the first amendment.
What I find particularly weird is that some people who call themselves “family-oriented” have the most jacked-up and dysfunctional family. The thing is that they are clever enough to hide it well. They attend all these superficial “family functions” just to be there – just to say they were there – just to say that they “value the family”. However, being physically there at a family gathering and being emotionally there in peace and in love are two totally different things.
Call me a liberal. But I don’t owe homage to anybody or anything. Respect is earned, in my book. And if you are in a toxic relationship and don’t distance yourself from it, you’re just as stupid as the abuser. Of course, “what is toxic” is up to individual interpretation.
I’d like to think that we spend our precious time with those who truly (not love), but like us and make us feel good and special in our own skins. Those people you can truly be yourselves around. Those are the people that I like to pal around with.

Jews – religious or not – are rarely found to be fanatical and obsessive about their religion. It is a private issue for them. They are not interested in “spreading the word” or “recruiting new members”. I respect them for that. That alone makes them more tolerant and considerate of their neighbors.
Jewish people have a deep thirst for knowledge, and can be very kind people too. THAT’S why they are liberals. Not the estranged far Leftists, but Liberals – by its very own definition.
Republicans secretly (and sometimes not so secretly)hate Jews for this. Republicans hate the amount of money Jews make and they are jealous of their success. And to find out that they are *gasps* Liberal Progressives, only cements that hatred.
Jewish people are, by far, the most successful people. They are always winning Nobel prizes. As of today, they are up to their 159th Nobel prize and counting! They havedone more for the US than we’ll admit or even begin to appreciate.
And the above is what irritates Republicans. Neo-Conservatives want the Liberals to be the “blacks-n-Mexicans on welfare” party so badly. And they are pissed that it isn’t the case. When you ever hear a Neocon talking about “socialism”, you’ll hear them make derogatory generalizations about the Democratic party saying that we are all just “lazy jobless welfare-mongers” out to get a free ride (of course with the exception of Joe the Plumber ). When they hear that 78% of the Jews voted for Obama, they realize that the stereotype of the the liberal is incorrect.
So, they press the panic button.
They go into a sweaty-palmed frenzy and try to brainstorm reasons as to why the Jews mostly vote liberal. I have heard all sorts of wild and desperate justifications that just make me shake my head:
Jewish Stockholm Syndrome: “The Jewish Americans have always been oppressed by the Democratic Party that they have bonded (aka trauma-bonding) to their oppressor and can’t let go”. (In other words, they have a severe cast of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that they’re in denial of.)
They have “Jewish Guilt Syndrome”. (Once again, a suggestion that they are neurotic)
“Voting for Obama is pretty much like lining up to enter the boxcars.”(Here suggesting that they are suicidal and/or very depressed individuals – again shows mental instability.)
“The majority of American Jews are non-observant, and therefore have no vested interest in Judaism or Israel. Observant Jews understand what they face under Obama, and rightly voted for McCain.” (Heavily suggesting here that there is a correlation between being God-fearing and informed, and that those who aren’t God-fearing are ignorant and clueless.)
This is what the far Right would rather believe that all Liberal Democrats just want to stay at home, play video games and get paid by Hitler Obama to do so…. which is just utterly ridiculous. And it says quite a lot about the far Right’s own intelligence and mental disposition that THEY are in denial of.
Sadly enough, the Right-wingnuts have deduced Rahm Emanuel to not being pro-Israel as he is a “Liberal” too. And a Liberal cannot possibly be pro-Israel. However, the Left are upset because they feel Obama has already abandoned them.
Go figure…

But where this bigotry is the most noticeable for me is in other western civilizations such as Europe, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. To them, Jews (no matter their place of birth) are Americans. And your average American is hated passionately in these areas by the Americanophobic Left-wingnuts.

The Holocaust that left 6 million Jews dead (although the number of actual deaths are debatable, a significant number of them were killed brutally and inhumanely).
How about European colonialism in Africa, Polynesia, Asia, Australia, and in the Americas? Great Britain was imperialistic and was the world power back then, and a very violent power at that.

From our ailing domestic left to overseas America haters, no one really cares about the fate of Mustapha the Murderer or Ahmed the Assassin. The lies told about Gitmo are meant to undercut U.S. foreign policy and embarrass America.
The Gitmo controversy is about many things, from jealousy of the United States and outrage that we refuse to fail, to residual anger that we won the Cold War and exploded the left’s great fantasy of a dictatorship of the intellectuals. But the one thing the protests aren’t about is human rights.

America is now the Superpower of the world. While some of the criticism directed at us IS note-worthy and merited, the convenient ignorance of other evils both past and present is clearly a sign that it’s not “evil” that anti-Americanism is against. There’s something else. What else could that be? Again… jealousy?

With the index finger flapping away in disapproval, it never ceases to amaze me how many people from all over the world find that Americans are committing a genocide in Iraq. The war in Iraq, while I’m still not convinced it is a just war, I can tell you that it’s *not* a genocide. What is a Genocide? The deliberate, planned and systematic destruction of an *entire* ethnic, racial, religious, or national group. While I don’t support Bush, he is NOT another Hitler, rather, he’s a war criminal. However, praise, support, and tolerance is, without question, extended to Islamic Fanaticism.

During anti-war demonstrations in Britain left-wing marchers have unashamedly waved banners defending known terrorists, shouted abuse at American tourists and British pro-American supporters and described George Bush in terms usually reserved for serial killers. Banners decrying the attacks of 9/11 were nowhere to be seen. When Daniel Pearl was murdered there was no outcry from the left in Britain. Instead, leftist and liberal commentators concentrated their critical faculties on the treatment of Al Qaeda and Taliban prisoners at Gauntanamo.
We can see here that the Americanophobic British like Islamic Fanaticism. Americanophobia blindly encourages and supports Islamofascism and their violent ways such as burning cars, burning embassies, attacks against the police, gang rapes of Infidel girls, wife beating, honor killings, the Madrid bombings, and last but not least the London bombings. Well, one can argue that the British didn’t like it happening to them, but at least we can safely say that Islamofascism is considered “OK” and embraced in Europe and in Canada.
Let’s take a look at Canada. She claims to be the “country of peace” and strongly (flapping the index finger) AGAINST the death penalty. …..That was until 9-11.
But of course there’s no hypocrisy in being pro-peace and against the death penalty, unless… death targets the RIGHT group.

While Christian Fanaticism can be oppressive, violent, xenophobic, uneducated, arrogant, and is associated with Neo-Conservatism, — Americanophobia takes sides with the MORE oppressive, xenophobic, uneducated, arrogant, and politically extreme such as “The Religion of Peace” (Islamofacsism) as we know it.
But anyway, let’s hope that Canada and Europe never have to find out what living under Sharia Holy Law is like.
It’s time to talk about how Americans are Stupid, Arrogant, Superficial and blind Patriotic Flag Wavers

I moved from the U.S. to Europe in 1998, and I’ve been drawing comparisons ever since. Living in turn in the Netherlands, where kids come out of high school able to speak four languages, where gay marriage is a non-issue, and where book-buying levels are the world’s highest, and in Norway, where a staggering percentage of people read three newspapers a day and where respect for learning is reflected even in Oslo place names (“Professor Aschehoug Square”; “Professor Birkeland Road”), I was tempted at one point to write a book lamenting Americans’ anti-intellectualism—their indifference to foreign languages, ignorance of history, indifference to academic achievement, susceptibility to vulgar religion and trash TV, and so forth. On point after point, I would argue, Europe had us beat.
Yet as my weeks in the Old World stretched into months and then years, my perceptions shifted. Yes, many Europeans were book lovers—but which country’s literature most engaged them? Many of them revered education—but to which country’s universities did they most wish to send their children? (Answer: the same country that performs the majority of the world’s scientific research and wins most of the Nobel Prizes.) Yes, American television was responsible for drivel like “The Ricki Lake Show”—but Europeans, I learned, watched this stuff just as eagerly as Americans did (only to turn around, of course, and mock it as a reflection of American boorishness). No, Europeans weren’t Bible-thumpers—but the Continent’s ever-growing Muslim population, I had come to realize, represented even more of a threat to pluralist democracy than fundamentalist Christians did in the U.S. And yes, more Europeans were multilingual—but then, if each of the fifty states had its own language, Americans would be multilingual, too. I’d marveled at Norwegians’ newspaper consumption; but what did they actually readin those newspapers?
See, it’s not about reading, in general, that makes you ’smart’, but more to do with WHAT you’re reading. If they’re reading nothing but misinformation and garbage, then they’ve got nothing to brag about, really.

Interestingly enough – the same European elites who complain about the supposed black-white world view ofthe American friends themselves enthusiastically disseminate and consume a hyper-simplified view of the United States (characterized by the pet issues listed above) that largely ignores the complexity, diversity and sheer expanse of the American experience.
I’ve realized these days, after seeing my people being attacked online constantly and outside in the world visiting other countries, that I’m starting to become even more patriotic than I ever have. In the past, before I ever realized how religious and vile Americanophobia was, I sometimes caught myself being pessimistic, feeling that America was doomed, becoming a third world country, becoming stupider and more violent every day while living under the reign of a Bushy Administration and a faux Democracy while watching our freedoms get stripped away by the radical Left and Right wings. To any non-Americans reading this, you may not see, often enough, Americans online discussing how depressed we are as some of us would rather repress what’s going on to find that being in denial allows us to keep our sanity until it’s time to vote again.
However, I realize that it’s not so bad to be an American and not so bad to be living here either – especially after reading this – which only reinforces what I’ve been feeling over the past few months.
This experience was only part of a larger process of edification. Living in Europe, I gradually came to appreciate American virtues I’d always taken for granted, or even disdained—among them a lack of self-seriousness, a grasp of irony and self-deprecating humor, a friendly informality with strangers, an unashamed curiosity, an openness to new experience, an innate optimism, a willingness to think for oneself and speak one’s mind and question the accepted way of doing things. (One reason why Europeans view Americans as ignorant is that when we don’t know something, we’re more likely to admit it freely and ask questions.) While Americans, I saw, cherished liberty, Europeans tended to take it for granted or dismiss it as a naïve or cynical, and somehow vaguely embarrassing, American fiction. I found myself toting up words that begin with i: individuality, imagination, initiative, inventiveness, independence of mind. Americans, it seemed to me, were more likely to think for themselves and trust their own judgments, and less easily cowed by authorities or bossed around by “experts”; they believed in their own ability to make things better.
No wonder so many smart, ambitious young Europeans look for inspiration to the United States, which has a dynamism their own countries lack, and which communicates the idea that life can be an adventure and that there’s important, exciting work to be done. Reagan-style “morning in America” clichés may make some of us wince, but they reflect something genuine and valuable in the American air. Europeans may or may not have more of a “sense of history” than Americans do. In fact, in a recent study comparing students’ historical knowledge, the results were pretty much a draw, but America has something else that matters—a belief in the future.
(I am the type of person that asks A LOT of questions; some would say I’m ‘clinically curious’. Would this fly in Europe? My thirst for knowledge, I guess, would leave me being pegged as “ignorant”? In my opinion, that’s quite contradictory in that it’s the ignorant that DON’T as questions! Hmm.. I’d like to think the natives have a better perception of what Europe is all about as opposed to a “text book” that is ridden with distortions. This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

It’s no wonder so many Americanophobic Europeans are clueless about us. They don’t ASK! I’ve also noticed that Europeans that hate Americans tend to be way too serious and overly political – whereas on the opposite end of the extreme, Americans can be way too superficial and politically apathetic. Both extremes are nonproductive and definitely *not* healthy.)
While harsh Americanophobes online try to bring my people down, I find myself much more bonded and united with my fellow citizens especially those that are balanced liberals. Surprisingly enough though, I find myself just as bonded with the balanced and sometimes self-righteous Republicans. I know that when I’m looking for understanding, that a Republican Conservative will always be there for me and fight against Americanophobia with me. Americanophobia tries to arrogantly push-and-shove their ways and dehumanize their target: Americans. However, when you’re trying to humble a person that’s already humble (admitting the faults of their own country), the humble begin to shift and can be quite defensive thereby turning quiet patriots into noisy ones.
Most Americanophobes will tell you that Patriotism is defined as unconditionally accepting its leader and every crooked thing that a government may do. But I beg to differ. Patriotism for me is being proud of where you come from and being loyal to your country along WITH exercising the right to free speech and questioning our leaders when we see fit. That’s why I feel that you can be a patriot and be a liberal questioning the actions of the government at the same time. Now, I am still that same patriot except I feel more in tune with the “flag wavers”. This is NOT what the Americanophobes want. It want us to put our flags DOWN. It wants us to feel that we have NOTHING to be proud of and that we are all pieces of pissed-on shit deserving nothing more than death. What this is doing, however, is creating more pride among the American people. And with that, I will say the cliché saying in America: “You get more flies with honey than you do vinegar“. Americanophobia is Vinegar. Nobody’s listening.
I have yet to see any instances where Americanophobia has been constructive or useful. Americanophobia only sees the “white man”. (We can thank Michael Moore for that!) Americanophobia sees all 300 million Americans as lawless, obnoxious and retarded neo-con Christian Fundamentalists and tries to get this message out to them. But guess what? They aren’t the ones listening. Sadly and for the most part, it’s the curious, open-minded and educated liberals that are visiting your countries — that are (ironically) subjugated to your wild and woolly rants and occasional violent attacks. If we aren’t already “xenophobic”, that’s a great way to create it. Outside from the youth, most Americans are too busy to listen to your noise, anyway. We’ve already learned from the past (the 60’s), the origin of Neo-Conservatism. It sprung out as a backlash against the noisy Radical Leftists. We saw Liberals converting to Conservatism and Old Fashioned Conservatives moving the way of Neo-Conservatism. This is the result of both Americanophobia and Leftist Elitism when it gets loud and obnoxious.

Of course, anybody who’s Americanophobic will be ignorant to the fact that we have an electoral voting system here and how truly unfair it is (hence the term, “faux Democracy). IsBush’s 30% all-time-low approval rating any indication that we’re not all approving of him? You guys made the same mistake with the OBESE saying that “most of us” are yet you still haven’t accounted for the 240 million that *aren’t* obese. Americanophobia refuses to learn. Americanophobia’s blind hatred toward the entire US is no better than the blind patriotism of the “flag wavers”. Americanophobia does not want to be humble, educate itself or be reasonably balanced. Americanophobia, like Homophobia, is extreme in its very nature, and is terrorism and genocide without the weapons. As you guys become noisier and noisier, we become more proud and united.
In the ideal world, it would be NICE for us Americans to have a righteous country to look up to with admiration. However, you all lose your credibility and potential respect through your hypocrisy that can be cited all too clearly throughout MOST of your rants. What, one must therefore ask, are their media telling them? Whataren’t they telling them? And what are the agendas of those doing the telling?
This is why I find those that subscribe to the Church of Americanophobia to be just as thick and as arrogant as Americans can be. Arrogance is the unwillingness to think for oneself and be the first to always prop themselves up onto a finger-pointing “thou shall not” soap-box. And my question is HOW is YOUR hypocrisy any different from the hypocrisy stemming from Christian Fundamentalists?
Anti-Americanism in Britain has been blinded by its own propaganda which posits that America is run for the benefit of the rich at the expense of the poor – a judgement which ignores the reality of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. It also promotes the idea that American education and culture is pathetically myopic. A number of critics have confessed they have never visited the United States yet feel qualified to sit in judgment unaware that the educational provision of thirty or so American universities put Oxford and Cambridge to shame.
The left also seems to be unaware that the highest numbers of Nobel Prizes have been awarded to Americans. In the modern arts – including film, urban architecture, popular music and comedy – America is pre-eminent. The country hosts over 1700 symphony orchestras. In the more traditional forms such as the novel the achievements of leading American writers dwarf their European competitors. Accusations by the European left that Americans are a philistine people seem ridiculous when set beside their museum attendance, more than seven million visitors per year, and the quality of their literary, historical and political magazines. American freedom of the press is unequalled throughout the world and citizen access to government documents under its freedom of information laws is envied throughout Europe. American advances in medical science have saved millions of lives.
We are told we have nothing to be proud of. Could a “stupid and superficial” nation really be capable of the above? I’m not trying to hide behind the harsh fact that a significant number of Americans are stupid. What I’m trying to point out is that Americanophobic “people” aren’t any ‘brighter a bulb’ than we are!
Anti-American sentiment does not engender any alternatives to what the American government poses in the way of foreign policy – its modus operandi is simply to spread the word that the United States is the moral equivalent to the Islamo-fascism it is trying to defeat. It recites its propaganda to summon up every American failure of the past fifty years without mentioning the nation’s successes.
What good does ignoring what we’ve done right do? Oh yeah… god forbid you should be more reasonable and balanced, you might have the unfortunate consequence of seeing the flaws in your own people and own country, no?

In its hatred of the United States the European left find excuses for the wickedness of Saddam Hussein and the evil philosophy and cruelty of Muslim fundamentalist terror groups. Some pro-Arab intellectuals/celebrities like Vanessa Redgrave have even proposed that Al Qaeda prisoners stand as parliamentary candidates in the forthcoming British general election. Labour MP George Galloway, who was an admirer of Saddam Hussein, has disseminated the idea that Iraqi terrorists have every right to kill the “American invaders.”
Americanophobia has this impression that if you travel to the US, you will find the people dressed up in stars and stripes everywhere. You’ll have this impression that all the cars and homes here will be painted and/or decorated with the American Flag. You’ll be brainwashed to believe that Americans march the streets with their flags before and after work and on the weekends after watching, “Sex in the City”. And last, but not least, you’ll think that all we talk about and have on our minds is American Patriotism and “how better our country is than yours!“.
I am here to tell all Canadians, Europeans, Australians, and those from New Zealand, that your school books and media have painfully misguided you. I am currently living in San Antonio, Texas. I should be seeing this here, right? Where are all the flags? Where are all the alleged “stars and stripes”? I see them here, but not too much of it. I will say, however, that Americans will show their patriotism when they feel threatened.
A good example would be after 9-11 where we all bonded together. And hell… my husband and I even had the flag on our car! It’s like a way of saying, “We are one nation and we will have each other’s back – and not let those people get the best of us”. I think ALL countries (especially where Americanophobia is prevalent) misinterpreted this behavior post-9-11 as “arrogance”. You can also thank your media for sensationalizing that news, as well. But ’situational US flag décor’ is not arrogance or “blind patriotism”. Look at it this way: At least I know in the US, if someone’s house gets broken into and/or a crime is committed against a person in that neighborhood, the entire neighborhood becomes closer and unites. Acquaintances become friends. We’ve got each other’s back and look after one another. Generally speaking, if Americans feel threatened (with the exception of the radical liberals), we will unite… just like any other country would under the same circumstances. Hopefully, you’ll never have to find out.
In the case that you DO find Americans marching in the streets in ’stars and stripes’ attire loudly reciting the Star Spangled Banner, consider them mentally ill, and move on.
Stupid, superficial, arrogantly/blindly patriotic, and genocidal, we are, says our “NATO friends” who live on the other side of our border and across the pond. However, if only our NATO Americanophobic friends could look in the mirror, they’d not only notice a reflection of themselves, but they would also see “the Americans“.

And now, this: Jim West, the Republican mayor of Spokane, a longtime serious player in regional politics and the former majority leader of the state senate and a potential Republican gubernatorial candidate and apparently one of the fiercest and most hot-tempered and most powerful Republicans in the state of Washington, is in deep trouble.
Claims are now rampant that West has used his position of power for years even since the ’70s, ever since he was a Scout leader, ever since he was handing out cute plastic trophies to young preteen boys exactly like me and actually to me in particular (I won a couple — what can I say?), West has used his position to lure men and teenage boys into having sex with him.
If you know anything about the Mayor of Spokane (Jim West), you’ve heard about his constant Anti-Gay preachings and rants – a very staunch homophobe.
Well, so what? No big deal, so far. Creepy and deceptive though it may be, West has, so far, done nothing horribly illegal. Just another powerful, closeted, hypocrite Republican (the antichoice West voted for the invidious Defense of Marriage Act in ‘98 and once proposed that teen sex be outright criminalized — not just intercourse, mind, but all sexual contact, of any kind) showing his true colors and leveraging his power to work through his rather sad boy-toy fantasies and insodoing giving all true open-hearted gay and bisexual humans who just want to celebrate their love and be left alone a very, very bad name.
Okay, let me get this straight: It’s okay to bang and fondle little boy’s private parts ruining the rest of their lives – (not to mention the whole act being non-consensual), but it’s NOT okay to have sex with someone you love before marriage?
And there it is. Not merely a sad closeted gay Republican mayor using his office to cruise for and have regular sex with all manner of incredibly young but still of-age males, but allegedly a true-blue pedophile, a child molester, a bona fide, first-class, card-carrying demon. Could it be possible?

He has a macho-machismo persona
He brags about how tough he is
He’s usually very well-built and tall
He’s an emotional retard and has never cried once in his adult years
He often reminds you of his gun collection (GTL , I know you have a gun or guns too, but you don’t brag about it or try to use it to defend your manly-hood.)
He’s a born again Christian and whips about the bible when he’s at a loss for words.
Let’s just say he’s a little bit overly masculine – almost like he’s over-compensating.
So, if you know a person like this – even if he’s your next door neighbor and he’s very, very nice, think again. And know that every night he’s fantasizing and dreaming about having his own Neverland Ranch.
And someone should really do a national, once-and-for-all study to back up what everyone already knows — which is, of course, that the more repressed and sanctimonious and uptight you are about sex and love and gender and religion, the more likely you are to be involved in secret kink, in deep perversion, illegal perversion, perversion that crosses the line from healthy and slippery and delicious to degrading and morally reprehensible and Karl Rove.Just ask — did I say this already? — the Catholic Church.

There is, of course, zero causal link between homosexuality and pedophilia. I couldn’t care less that West might be gay, or bisexual, or whatever the hell else he tells himself he is when he goes to sleep at night and dreams of, I don’t know what. Bunnies. In leather chaps. On fire.

Following the report that nine members of the East Waynesville Baptist Church in western North Carolina were excommunicated because they did not support President Bush in the election, Ralph G. Neas, President of People For the American Way Foundation, had the following statement:
“What have we come to when the doors of a church are closed to longtime members because of their political beliefs? When a pastor equates political support for the ‘wrong’ candidate with a sin before God?
“I would say to Senator Frist and Karl Rove that this is what comes of attempts to manipulate religion for political gain. Americans simply will not accept the claim that ‘unless you accept my political beliefs, you cannot be a good Christian.’
“This nation was founded on respect for religious belief, and tolerance for religious diversity. Men and women of faith have every right to advocate for their political beliefs. While churches, of course, can set their own membership standards, no one should punish people of faith for their political beliefs.
“This is terribly sad. I urge the President to express his opposition to all attempts to manipulate faith for political gain.”
And yet, this is just another example of our self-proclaimed, “Christians” at their best.

Tonight I ventured over to one of my favorite Liberal blogs, Preemptive Karma. The entry that reads, “Bite Me” received a comment from your typical hit and run troll. The comment is as follows:

Wow. It reminded me of the frequent troller, Maddie Dog, that prowls through liberal blogs leaving nasty comments. Maddie Dog even left a really nice comment for me on this entry. Mind you, Extremists from the right side hate celebrity talk. Do you think people are just sometimes too lazy to read your blog description and/or your category section? I don’t know about you, but if I run across a blog or a blog entry that I don’t like, I just move on. Life’s too short to ruin your entire day over what a stranger has typed into their blog. And if that’s their biggest worry in life, I call them very lucky.
Going back to the Preemptive Karma Blog and this entry where a troll left this friendly message, if you click on the troll’s blog, you’ll notice that she’s a self proclaimed “Christian” and ‘appears’ to be very “religious”. She also has an in depth comment policy plus a rant (in another entry) where she complains about the habits of other bloggers. It is most interesting to see that she is guilty of doing EXACTLY what she tells her own readers what not to do. I couldn’t help but to laugh. And boy, did I hear that pot calling the kettle black!

There are only a very few people that call themselves Christians, that are actually very kind and “Christian-like”. All the others are extremely evil, violent, insensitive, callous, greedy, materialistic, intolerant, judgmental, racist, and filled with hate.
The Depth of the Scandal
How bad are things? What is the depth of the scandal? Unless we face these questions with ruthless honesty, we can never hope to correct the problem.
Whether the issue is divorce, materialism, sexual promiscuity, racism, physical abuse in marriage, or neglect of a biblical worldview, the polling data point to widespread, blatant disobedience of clear biblical moral demands on the part of people who allegedly are evangelical, born-again Christians. The statistics are devastating.
Materialism and the Poor
John and Sylvia Ronsvalle have been carefully analyzing the giving patterns of American Christians for well over a decade. Their annual The State of Christian Giving is the most accurate report for learning how much Christians in the richest nation in human history actually give. In their most recent edition, they provide detailed information about per-member giving patterns of U.S. church members from 1968 to 2001. Over those thirty-plus years, of course, the average income of U.S. Christians has increased enormously. But that did not carry over into their giving. The report showed that the richer we become, the less we give in proportion to our incomes.
In 1968, the average church member gave 3.1 percent of their income—less than a third of a tithe. That figure dropped every year through 1990 and then recovered slightly to 2.66 percent—about one quarter of a tithe.
As evangelicals we claim to embrace the Bible as our final authority. One of the most common themes in the Scriptures is that God and his faithful people have a special concern for the poor. Why this blatant contradiction between belief and practice?
Racism
In 1989 George Gallup Jr. and James Castelli published the results of a survey to determine which groups in the U.S. were least and most likely to object to having black neighbors—surely a good measure of racism. Catholics and nonevangelical Christians ranked least likely to object to black neighbors; 11 percent objected. Mainline Protestants came next at 16 percent. At 17 percent, Baptists and evangelicals were among the most likely groups to object to black neighbors, and 20 percent of Southern Baptists objected to black neighbors.
To say there is a crisis of disobedience in the evangelical world today is to dangerously understate the problem. Born-again Christians divorce at about the same rate as everyone else. Self-centered materialism is seducing evangelicals and rapidly destroying our earlier, slightly more generous giving. Only 6 percent of born-again Christians tithe. Born-again Christians justify and engage in sexual promiscuity (both premarital sex and adultery) at astonishing rates. Racism and perhaps physical abuse of wives seems to be worse in evangelical circles than elsewhere. This is scandalous behavior for people who claim to be born-again by the Holy Spirit and to enjoy the very presence of the Risen Lord in their lives.

A US state’s prohibition on the sale of sex toys was left standing by the US Supreme Court on Tuesday when the court refused to hear a constitutional challenge to the law.
The United States’ highest court declined to consider the complaint from users and vendors of paraphernalia for sexual stimulation, the sale of which is banned in the southeastern state of Alabama.
Adopted in 1998, the Alabama statute blocks the distribution of “any device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human sexual organs”. Violators risk up to 10,000 dollars in fines and one year in prison.
In July an appeals court affirmed that Alabama had the right to proscribe commerce in sex toys, reasoning that it potentially opened the door to illegal activities such as prostitution. The court added that if Alabamians wanted to reverse the law, they had recourse through the state legislature.
So, masturbation leads to prostitution? This is too funny! I think it’s safe to assume that just about every man commits this “Anti-Christ” act of evil. So, tell me…. how many of you men out there are prostitutes?
In refusing to hear the case, and making no comment on it, the Supreme Court effectively accepted the lower court’s judgment.
The American Civil Liberties Union, a leading defender of private citizens’ rights which joined the plaintiffs in the case, argued that sex toys “have many recognized beneficial uses and are used by consenting adults in deeply private acts that are beyond the reach of governmental regulation”.

- Defrocked priest Paul Shanley, whose crimes shook the Roman Catholic Church, was sentenced to 12 to 15 years in prison on child rape charges Tuesday to a burst of applause from some of the many who accused him of molesting them.
Shanley will be eligible for parole after eight years. He was sent away despite warnings from some inmate advocates that the notorious child-molester would be a marked man behind bars and that prison could amount to a death sentence.
I’m generally against prison violence, but when it comes to rapists and child molesters, I say, “Go get ‘em!” because that child’s life is basically ruined and he will have to carry those memories (repressed or not) with him for the rest of his life.
Judge Stephen Neel condemned the former priest for using his revered status to prey on a little boy. “It is difficult to imagine a more egregious misuse of trust and authority,” he said. Shanley, once known for a being a hip “street priest” who reached out to troubled children and homosexuals, was convicted last week of repeatedly raping and fondling a boy at his church during the 1980s.
Is this not the norm? You know, the “altruistic humanitarian” type who successfully portrays himself as such. Everybody thinks he’s wonderful. This is the face he shows when he’s got his pants on. Nobody can believe he could possibly do such a thing. For those idiots who believe in his innocence, let me ask you a question: Do you think if a priest is secretly banging little boys behind closed doors, do you think he’s going to say mass and walk around in public wearing a shirt that says, “I DiddleLittle Boys”? In your naive, idealistic, “the world is perfect” little mind of yours, do you actually think he’s going to expose that side of himself to his parishioners – like he wants to get caught with his pants down? (pun intended). Give me a break!? And yes, Scott Peterson is guilty too. Cute people are capable of bad things as well.
We have a lot of criminals who are known to others as altruistic. Remember Ted Bundy?
Friends remember Bundy as witty, kind, and attractive, as well as charming. These were all to be his assets as a killer. Ironically, Bundy worked for some time at a crisis clinic, answering phones, and talking people down from suicide. In 1970, Ted saved a 3 and 1/2 year old from drowning in Green Lake. As far as most people were concerned, he saved lives, he didn’t take them.
We can somehow accept the fact that a few people go “crazy” sometimes and start shooting others. However, it is more disconcerting to learn that some of the “nicest” people one meets lead a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde life: a student by day, a killer of coeds by night; a caring, attentive nurse who secretly murders sick children, the handicapped, or the elderly; a building contractor and politician who enjoys sexually torturing and killing young men and burying them under his home. When we discover that people exist who are not considered to be insane or crazy but who enjoy killing others for “recreation,” this indeed gives new meaning to the word “stranger.”
Do you ever notice how whenever the media asks the next door neighbors of a psychopathic serial killer what the guy was like, the neighbors always say how nice, quiet, and peaceful the guy was? They also usually mention how nicely the guy kept up his lawn for some reason. They always talk about what a nice neighbor he was. Well, the media just seems to be shocked by the whole thing. I’m not saying anything about the other aspects of their personalities, but could it be possible that psychopathic serial killers actually do make the best neighbors in America? Everyone wants to move far away from these people; maybe the best way to avoid being their next victim is to, in fact, live next door to them. They’ll let you read the morning newspaper in peace, or blast your music at night all you want, as long as you don’t mind them sawing people into “convenient for the freezer” sized pieces or the occasional loud shriek of terror by a helpless victim.
The point of me saying this was not to say that psychopathic serial killers actually make better neighbors than anyone else, but to show the absolute stupidity behind the news media asking these questions of the neighbor. Of course they were peaceful, THEY DIDN’T WANT TO GET FUCKING CAUGHT, COLUMBO! What did they expect these people to say, that the guy stood around all day in his front lawn with a South Park T-shirt on, an iced tea in one hand, a bloody axe in the other, with an insane glaze on his eyes as he leered at passing children.
So, next time you find a quiet, reserved, friendly man living in your neighborhood who seems like a pretty good neighbor, take him over an apple pie or something. After all, he could be a serial killer, and you wouldn’t want an outstanding neighbor like that to move out of the neighborhood.
The organized killer is usually socially adequate and has friends and lovers, often even a spouse and children. They are the type who, when captured, are most likely to be described by acquaintances as ‘a really nice guy, he couldn’t hurt a fly’.

Yes, that’s right! Remember the site God Hates Fags.Com, and my entry about it? Well, a blog was established to counteract this named, “God Loves Fags“. Their mission statement is as follows:
This blog is intended to give an alternate (positive) viewpoint regarding reconciling religion and homosexuality. We abhor hate in all forms and advocate love and acceptance. Yeah, it’s a little touchy-feely but far better than the alternatives.
Established
in 1955 by Pastor Fred Phelps, the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) of
Topeka, Kansas still exists today as an Old School (or, Primitive)
Baptist Church. See the WBC Monograph. In short, we adhere to the
teachings of the Bible, preach against all form of sin (e.g.,
fornication, adultery, sodomy), and insist that the doctrines of grace
be taught publicly to all men.
"GOD HATES FAGS" — though
elliptical — is a profound theological statement, which the world
needs to hear more than it needs oxygen, water and bread. The three
words, fully expounded, show:
the absolute sovereignty of "GOD"
in all matters whatsoever (e.g., Jeremiah 32:17, Isaiah 45:7, Amos 3:6,
Proverbs 16:4, Matthew 19:26, Romans 9:11-24, Romans 11:33-36, etc.),
the doctrine of reprobation or God’s "HATE"
involving eternal retribution or the everlasting punishment of most of
mankind in Hell forever (e.g., Leviticus 20:13,23, Psalm 5:5, Psalm
11:5, Malachi 1:1-3, Romans 9:11-13, Matthew 7:13,23, John 12:39-40, 1
Peter 2:8, Jude 4, Revelation 13:8, 20:15, 21:27, etc.), and
the certainty that all impenitent sodomites (under the elegant metaphor
of "FAGS" as the contraction of faggots, fueling the fires of God’s
wrath) will inevitably go to Hell (e.g., Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians
6:9-11, 1 Timothy 1:8-11, Jude 7, etc.)
The only
lawful sexual connection is the marriage bed. All other sex activity is
whoremongery and adultery, which will damn the soul forever in Hell.
Heb. 13:4. Decadent, depraved, degenerate and debauched America, having
bought the lie that It’s OK to be gay, has thereby changed the truth of
God into a lie, and now worships and serves the creature more than the
Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen! Rom. 1:25. But the Word of God
abides. Better to be a eunuch if the will of God be so, and make sure
of Heaven. Mat. 19:12. Better to be blind or lame, than to be cast into
Hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched. Mk. 9:43-48. Abstain,
you fools.
Most of the major Confessions of Faith throughout the history of the New Testament Church have also advanced these ideas. So,
even though the Arminian lies that "God loves everyone" and "Jesus died
for everyone" are being taught from nearly every pulpit in this
generation, this hasn’t always been the case. In fact, if you are in a
Church that supposedly believes the Bible, and you are hearing these
lies, then your church has apostatized. If you are interested in
this subject, we encourage you to do some independent research on the
history of the Church from Adam to now and, more importantly, we encourage you to carefully read the entire Bible.
Sad.
And what’s worse than that is that there are people all around us that
feel the same way as these people do. The only difference between these
people and others sharing the same beliefs just keep quiet about it.

By all that is just, God
is fully entitled to utterly destroy the nation immediately. The fact
that instead He gave us a fair warning on September 11 is something
that those who fear and obey God as all mankind is bound to do are
thankful for this warning. Of course, the perverse people of this evil
nation are not getting the hint, and instead of repenting in sackcloth

Father
John Hooker of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church believes in turning the
other cheek. He says his church welcomes all people, including
homosexuals and those who hate them.
"We believe that in our baptism we are all made God’s children," says Hooker.
St.
Andrew’s Episcopal is one of six local churches to be picketed by
members of the Westboro Baptist Church, a self-admitted "gay hating"
congregation based out of Kansas.

Doesn’t the Bible say that God loves everyone?
…Or,
you are thinking of "God is love." God certainly is love, toward His
elect (His children). But He certainly is not love toward the reprobate
(children of the devil). That’s why His elect go to heaven, and the
reprobate go to hell. In Romans 9:13, which says "As it is written,
Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated", Jacob is a representative
of God’s elect, while Esau is a representative of the reprobate. In
Romans 1, the word "reprobate" is used to describe fags. Fags are
reprobate. God hates reprobates. Therefore, God hates fags.
Why do you preach hate?

Doesn’t God forgive everyone?
No.
God will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and whom He will He
hardeneth (Romans 9:18). God is sovereign, and does whatsoever he will
in the army of heaven and amongst the inhabitants of the Earth, and
none can stay his hand. You must come to term with two facts, which are
extremely difficult for the flesh to grasp: First, God does not exist
to serve you, you exist to serve him.
Why do you picket funerals?
To
warn the people who are still living that unless they repent, they will
likewise perish. When people go to funerals, they have thoughts of
mortality, heaven, hell, eternity, etc., on their minds. It’s the
perfect time to warn them of things to come. Is it mean, hateful,
uncompassionate, etc.? I’m sure it is, according to your standards.
However, according to my standards, it would be infinitely more mean,
hateful, uncompassionate, etc., to keep my mouth shut and not warn you
that you, too, will soon have to face God.
Why don’t you leave it up to God and stop wasting your time telling people that they are wrong?

heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can
know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I try the reins, even to give
every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his
doings." (Jeremiah 17:9-10). This being the exclusive prerogative of
God, we leave it alone, knowing that we can never convince someone that
they are doing something wrong. How do you feel about people who confess and realize their sins?
Based
upon 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, there is a scriptural basis to believe that
it is possible for a practicing fag to repent. On the other hand, Jesus
Christ taught that "no man can come to me, except the Father which has
sent me draw him." (John 6:44). In Romans 1, on three separate
occasions, it says that God has given homosexuals up to uncleanness (v.
24), vile affections (v.26) , and to a reprobate mind (v. 28). If he
has given them up to these things, he is not simultaneously drawing
them to Christ. These verses are not incongruous, because if Christ
died for them, the Holy Spirit will surely call them, God will in fact
draw them, they will leave off that uncleanness, vile affections and
reprobate mind, and the inevitable result will be that they will
inherit heaven and not hell. Therefore, a fag who has truly repented is
no longer a fag.
Are you associated with a milita, Aryan Nation, Nazi, KKK, or any other similar group?

We don’t believe in physical violence of any kind, and the Scripture
doesn’t support racism. God never says "thou shalt not be black."
However, He does say, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with

Of
course I’m a sinner. All have sinned and come short of the glory of
God, and if any man says he has not sinned he’s a liar. I am no better
than any homosexual. No human is good of his or her own accord. The
only righteousness that God recognizes is the righteousness that he
gives. His righteousness is a single heart, humble, contrite and
broken, devoted to God. And the only way a heart becomes this way is by
God touching it and making it that way.
The difference between
me and a defiant, practicing homosexual, is grace. When the grace of
God operates on the heart of a human, that human desires to obey God
and live soberly and righteously. And when that happens, that person is
profoundly impressed with his sinful nature, and falls on his knees
begging God’s mercy. And God has mercy on that heart. Then, and only
then, a true spirit of repentance exists, and forgiveness follows.
What about lesbians?
Lesbians are just female fags.
Why are you so harsh?
Because
the truth is harsh. We use great plainness of speech, and will not beat
around the bush when it comes to someone’s eternal soul. Watch out for
those people who tell you that it’s okay to be gay – they’ll take you
to hell with them.

Does that mean to lie to him and tell him what he wants to hear? No. It
means to tell him the truth, and warn him to flee from the wrath to

Why do you fly the American flag upside down?
An
upside down flag is the international sign for distress. This country,
as well as the rest of the world, is in mortal danger – we’re in
distress. Our national support of perversity is bringing God’s wrath
upon us. September 11 was only the beginning. We have reached the point
of no return. It is too late for this evil country to repent (2
Chronicles 36:16, 2 Kings 23:26). God’s people must save themselves
from this perverse generation (Acts 2:40).

I don’t know why, but for some odd reason this "churchy" group reminded me of these people.
I
realize the people of Westboro Baptist Church are not your typical
"born again Christian" fanatics or what we would call religious people,
by any means. To say "taking it to an extreme"
would be an understatement. I am just baffled. Yet, I’m not surprised
by this behavior as I can feel the hate coming from those who quietly
protest. The "It’s MY WAY or the Highway" people will never cease to exist, and they will always try to solicit their bile from one generation to the next.
I
don’t necessarily think religion has everything to do with it. Some of
us are taught to hate (just because), and many people feel uneasy and
insecure around anything or anybody that’s different. This goes with
culture, race, physical appearances, mental illnesses, religion,
mannerisms, values, and sexual preferences.
I criticize in this entry, yet I am no "higher being" as I sometimes am guilty of "hating" as well.
“On December 24, 1971, the New York Times ran one of the first of many articles on a new holiday designed to foster unity among African Americans. The holiday, called Kwanzaa, was applauded by a certain sixteen-year-old minister who explained that the feast would perform the valuable service of “de-whitizing” Christmas. The minister was a nobody at the time but he would later go on to become perhaps the premier race-baiter of the twentieth century. His name was Al Sharpton and he would later spawn the Tawana Brawley hoax and then incite anti-Jewish tensions in a 1995 incident that ended with the arson deaths of seven people.
Great minds think alike. The inventor of the holiday was one of the few black “leaders” in America even worse than Sharpton. But there was no mention in the Times article of this man or of the fact that at that very moment he was sitting in a California prison. And there was no mention of the curious fact that this purported benefactor of the black people had founded an
organization that in its short history tortured and murdered blacks in ways of which the Ku Klux Klan could only fantasize.
It was in newspaper articles like that, repeated in papers all over the country, that the tradition of Kwanzaa began. It is a tradition not out of Africa but out of Orwell. Both history and language have been bent to serve a political goal. When that New York Times article appeared, Ron Karenga’s crimes were still recent events. If the reporter had bothered to do any research into the background of the Kwanzaa founder, he might have learned about Karenga’s trial earlier that year on charges of torturing two women who were members of US (United Slaves), a black
nationalist cult he had founded.
ACCORDING TO COURT DOCUMENTS, Karenga’s real name is Ron N. Everett. In the ’60s, he awarded himself the title “maulana,” Swahili for “master teacher.” He was born on a poultry farm in Maryland, the fourteenth child of a Baptist minister. He came to California in the late 1950s to attend Los Angeles Community College. He moved on to UCLA, where he got a Master’s degree in political science and African Studies. By the mid-1960s, he had established himself as a leading “cultural nationalist.” That is a term that had some meaning in the ’60s, mainly as a way of distinguishing Karenga’s followers from the Black Panthers, who were conventional Marxists.”
Many of you probably already know about this already. I recently was having a conversation about this with my brother, and I just had to look this up for myself.
I find it very important that this holiday exists for African Americans, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. I do, however, find it’s origin very interesting, and it came as quite a surprise to me.
Since the beginning of electronic greetings on the internet, I had often seen Happy Kwanzaa cards as I was perusing through the holiday assortment during every Winter Season. I had always wondered what that “Kwanzaa” meant. I only knew that it was an African American holiday.
“Kwanzaa is supposed to be celebrated from 26 December through 1 January: It competes with Christmas and Chanukah while incorporating some echoes of both, e.g., gift-giving and a ceremony built around a seven-holed candle-holder that recalls Judaism’s seven-branched menorah.”

“Karenga has concocted some bits of lore, lingo, and mumbo-jumbo that are intended to make Kwanzaa look like something out of Africa instead of something from Los Angeles County, but his efforts have been feeble. If you scan The Official Kwanzaa Web Site, you’ll read that the origins of Kwanzaa lie in “the first harvest celebrations of Africa,” which allegedly “are recorded in African history as far back as ancient Egypt and Nubia” — but there is no explanation of why any ancient Egyptians or Nubians might have held harvest festivals around the time of the winter solstice, and there is no identification of the crops that they harvested. Karenga’s formula for celebrating Kwanzaa requires the use of two ears of maize — but maize is a New World plant, and it wasn’t known at all in ancient Africa.
In Karenga’s Kwanzaa-lingo, ears of maize are called by the Swahili name “muhindi.” In fact, all the objects that Karenga has worked into Kwanzaa have names taken from Swahili, which The Official Kwanzaa Web site describes as “a Pan-African language” and “the most widely spoken African language.” The labeling of Swahili as a “Pan-African” language is rubbish. Swahili — a Bantu tongue that includes many words absorbed from Arabic, from Persian and from certain Indian languages — is spoken by some 50 million people (i.e., about 7% of Africa’s population). Most of those Swahili-speakers are concentrated in eastern Africa, in a region that includes Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and a strip of Zaire. The language which is used most widely in Africa is Arabic; and indeed, Swahili was originally written in Arabic script
Kwanzaa is a hoax — a hoax built around fake history and pseudohistorical delusions. By attempting to dignify and promote Kwanzaa in The American Nation, Prentice Hall has joined in a flim-flam.”
It doesn’t sound like the founder of Kwanzaa knows much about his own roots, and had no problem creating
this holiday on a lie. Nonetheless, he is a man due no amount of respect.
If it weren’t for Ron N. Everett, someone else would probably have invented a similar holiday. As I see in several different cultures world-wide, depending on the ethnicity, the celebration of the Holiday Season is done differently and are very moving to observe. I don’t know why I feel this way, but I find that other cultures appear to stick together more so than that of the American culture. This is not to say I’m not proud of my American heritage, but I do feel we are somewhat drawn apart from one another.
Upon observing other cultures practicing their rituals, sometimes I become so moved that I cry. I think this is because I envy them and wish Americans only had the same type of bonding between one another.
I admire the way that the African Americans stick up for each other. Although, I have to say that’s inconvenient when it comes along to a predominantly all African American jury deciding the fate of an African American defendant as with the case of OJ Simpson. I guess you can’t have it both ways. Nevertheless, I think you get my point.
Culture is a beautiful thing to observe. The Kwanzaa Holiday, whether it be founded by a criminal or not, if the African Americans are happy celebrating it, good on them!

"I think it is best, when faced with people from other nations, to treat them as individuals. Yes, you can "hate" the injustices that governments perpetuate on us all, and yes, you can despise ignorance in all its' forms. Many ask me why I left. Political reasons aside, when I mention that my family now enjoys free health-care and that my daughter will have the opportunity to go to university virtually for free (O.K. not free exactly, because we all pay taxes, but these services are included in what we as citizens receive for our tax dollars here in Europe,) they always respond with a sigh as they realize that this is the way all societies should be run. They know that something has gone terribly afoul in their beloved "homeland."

"Regarding Race Relations in the South:
I once read an observation that ONE (and there are many) of the differences between the Northern and Southern approach to race is that the North tends to reject the Individual while embracing the Race. The South conversely seems to have prejudice towards the other Race while embracing the Individuals. It's a generalization to be sure but one with more than a grain of truth.
Blacks and Whites have always lived closely in the South, most southerners have an aquantince of another race whom they like, while at the same time generalizing about the 'others'.
The North has always been more segregated and less mixed in ordinary commerce and interaction. They accept the race but interact with few individuals of another group. Leading to less real experience with the other group. Fewer Northerners subsequently have friends of a different race.
I think we a need to be cautious when making these generalizations but I believe they still offer food for comment.
I guess I'm just saying that one shouldn't assume the South has a less open society because of some who have lingering, isolated, racist attitudes towards 'Canadians'. It just seems that these notions, are more exposed, and carry more gravity due to their past. --JG (reply #70)

"It is sick that to be Canadian one must hate other people. I've been to US hundreds of times and England as well and they never equate their nationality with hatred of others. It seems we are a nation of people that are in serious need of therapy. Thank god I enjoy visiting other countries and felt no need to hate or denigrate others. "I attribute European anti-Americanism to a state of prolonged “adolescence” from being protected by American treasure and military might throughout the post-WW2 era. "Yes, anti-Americanism is a sad reality all over the world. I feel its simply part of "hatred of the superpower". Britian for most of its empire's history was mocked harshly by English speaking colonies and much of mainland Europe. Nobody likes the "big kid on the block". I think the fact that American media plays a more dominant role in English speaking societies around the world further reminds us of our inferiority complexes.
