In my blog, I discuss Americanophobia, politics, political extremism (my rantings about the extreme right and the extreme left), psychology, randomness, and my lame attempts to debunk common rumors spread about the American people.

I will either enlighten you, entertain you, or make your blood boil.

I’ve been blogging on and off for about 8 years and my somewhat “recent” posts have been devoted to Americanophobia. My goal is to prove how irrational Americanophobia is and its hypocrisy most of all. I am hoping my own hypocrisy is equally entertaining for you.

Americanophobia, which is predominantly expressed by the morally superior maple waving Canadians and the British (who still wish they were in power after a 300 year old colonizing and brutally malicious empire). It is the last and latest form of “acceptable prejudice”. If you replace the ever so popular “you Americans” with another nationality, creed, or race, it would be frowned upon. Right?

Generally, Americans don’t care about Americanophobia and the reason is that we are more critical of each other than those from other countries. We welcome you all to hate us knowing that we deserve to be discriminated. The chest-pounding nationalistic Americans are a fringe and mocked relentlessly in our own country. You know? The loudest folk always get the most media attention. And our loudest are the blind patriots.

I leave linkage and blog entries with the intent to give perspective and balance to what I find to be extreme and exaggerated. My goal is to offer reasonable arguments without hurting those Canadians and Europeans who aren’t part of the “hate by default” and ever so pompous Americanophobic Crusade. You will know if I’m talking to YOU or not. If you are offended, you’re most likely a Canadian or an American.

It may appear as though I’m striking against other nations and guilty of the same thing. I am hoping that you’re rational enough to be able to see how clearly in my blog, the acute distinction I make between Canadians and Americanophobic Canadians… and so on. But let the truth be known by my substantiated arguments, that it IS fact that at the very least 50% of Canadians, South Americans, New Zealanders, Australians, and Europeans blindly hate Americans even before setting foot into the US! Even before getting to know a variety of Americans better.

A while back, I ran into a French blogger who’s working on a similar project defending his people from the harsh rumors and disturbing prejudices regarding the French. And another French blogger as well. Feel free to visit their sites too.

Please also help yourself to the Links section of my blog as well. My entire side-bar speaks louder and tells the story better than any amount of text written in my blog entries. You’ll notice that most of the articles on Americanophobia are written by Canadians, Germans, and those from the UK!  If you still think that I am hearing voices, this thread on Facebook and the links on this page should be an eye-opener.

Your feelings are important to me. Feel free to comment on my blog or email me with hate mail, love mail, suggestions or whatever is on your mind. I do take kindly to criticism so long as it’s constructive.

Please be mindful that I have several people contributing to this blog. You’ll know if it is a guest blogger as it will be categorized as such. For some of them, English is their SECOND language. I correct/edit as much as I can without trying to take the spirit and uniqueness away from them – so some things I leave alone.
