The Americanophobes, instead of referring to the extremists, lump all Americans under the same umbrella. I rail against that.
But this is an appropriate time for me, these days, to talk about what is REALLY wrong with America. But to be fair, I think that about half of us are good and half of us are bad regardless of political orientation. It’s just that the bad people here are so much nosier and easier to see. And it is very tempting, even for myself, to exaggerate how truly sickening they are because of my own inabilities to calm my annoyances with them.
See, this is why the neocons (generally) have a reputation for being “happier” and “more positive”. Do you ever stop to wonder why? It is because they, as a defence/survival mechanism, live in denial. The liberals, on the other hand, comparatively are more cynical and live in reality. Liberals are happy too. They live like everyone else. It’s just that when the shit hits the fan, they’d say, “I see shit!” whereas the neocons would say, “What shit?”. A liberal would rub their nose it in, and the neocon response would be, “Hey, whatever this is, smells good.” A liberal would roll their eyes and then clean it up. Why? Because liberals (not the extreme left) are always trying to clean up America with their priorities on education, reading, civil rights and liberties, equal rights – you know — everything FDR was all about (social security, Americans Disability Act ect). You know, those same things that our red states milk the hell out of that their future Palin administration will take away little by little by little……
If the Scarah Palin administration takes over (and it will), America will be what the movie, “Idiocracy” dictated.

CALEDONIA, Wis. — Police in Caledonia are investigating the assault of a campaign volunteer as she was canvassing for Senator Barack Obama Saturday afternoon.
In an exclusive interview with 12 News, 58 year-old Nancy Takehara of Chicago says she was going door-to-door when she came across a disgruntled homeowner.
“The next thing I know he’s telling us we’re not his people, we’re probably with ACORN, and he started screaming and raving,” Takehara said. “He grabbed me by the back of the neck. I thought he was going to rip my hair out of my head. He was pounding on my head and screaming. The man terrified me.”

Thirty Tires Slashed During Obama Rally
Someone slashed the tires of at least 30 vehicles parked outside the Crown Coliseum on Sunday during a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies are investigating. The tires were cut while people were inside the Crown Coliseum listening to speeches, said Maj. E. Wright of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Many of the damaged vehicles were parked on Wilkes Road. Representatives from Obama and Sen. John McCain’s campaigns said they were unaware of the acts.

“This is an embarrassment to this city and to me as a citizen,” Revis said. “I’ve seen women out here crying and men cussing. This is a crying shame.”
Lynne Steenstra said she thought that the slashings were scare tactics designed to keep her and others from supporting Obama.
Even though it cost her roughly $120 to get her Dodge Caravan towed and fixed, Steenstra said the act would not intimidate her from voting.
“It hasn’t deterred us one bit,” Steenstra said. “It has only encouraged us more. I just hope whoever did this pays the price.”
It amazes me how people think that this will make liberals convert to conservationism. 
If anything, it has the opposite effect!

CULLOWHEE – A dead bear was found dumped this morning on the Western Carolina University campus, draped with a pair of Obama campaign signs, university police said.
AdvertisementMaintenance workers reported about 7:45 a.m. finding a 75-pound bear cub dumped at the roundabout near the Catamount statute at the entrance to campus, said Tom Johnson, chief of university police.
“It looked like it had been shot in the head as best we can tell. A couple of Obama campaign signs had been stapled together and stuck over its head,” Johnson said.

We all know that as the desperate GOP contends with the very real possibility of losing this election and losing it big, the dirtier and sleazier they will play.

I see the fear of Obama in the eyes of my relatives back in Louisiana. They believe every negative about Obama, the more ludicrous the more they believe, and ignore the positives because he is a man with some African ancestry.

I was made fun of for walking in a “Martin Luther King Day Marathon” by a family member and she still, to this day, has never let it go because I’m a “black luva”.
The best punishment for these people would be to send them to S. Africa to be servants and strictly monitored caretakers for the African communities that need help. Maybe the rougher living would humble them. If you’re as DUMB as DIRT, anything goes because it is DUMB people that ruin this world we live in. Being DUMB is a choice.

Let’s see – Obama supporter – a pasty white dude – tears up a McCain sign and punches a little old lady in the face.
Reporter says someone shouted “kill him” at a Palin rally – only the only person to have heard it seems to be ….. the reporter.
You show a few things mocking Obama – should I counter with a few of the things that have been said/done to Palin/McCain? How about the t-shirt with McCain doing Palin from behind – that’s kind of cute? You talk about conservatives “believing every conspiracy theory about Obama” – while you yourself were (still are?) supporting the Trig is really Bristol’s baby by her father” meme in another post. As an aside – it’s not taking part in any “conspiracy theories” to ask about Obamas association with Ayers, Rezco (sp?), Wright, et al. But the media are way more interested in vetting a plumber who was ASKED A QUESTION BY OBAMA than they are in vetting an actual candidate for PoTUS.
Are there racists in the US? You betcha. But when you show a clip from al-jazeera US to show how “dumb and racist” Americans are – that seems to move away from being an opponent of anti-americanism to a supporter of it. Should we take a camera into the inner city and ask questions of some residents there, carefully edit it, and then use it as a reason why a black man isn’t fit yo be president of the US? You are using a very small segment of the population, carefully chosen by a group with an agenda (and the ideological enemies of western democracy, fwiw) to try and score some points on how poorly treated Obama’s been.
Have some racist things been said/done to Obama during this campaign – sure. But there are racists and bigots everywhere. The problem is – you guys have allowed Obama to wrap himself completely in the “any criticism is racist” shield.
And I think you’re right about people being afraid to tell pollsters that they won’t vote for a black man. But you’ve got the wrong group to spew your vitriol on. If Obama loses from a hidden racism component – it will be from the rank and file labor vote who have always been in the bag for the Democrats. Remember – we conservatives are supposed to be evil and racist and hateful and bigoted and all of those other things that you liberals like to say about us so you can feel good about yourselves and superior to others. Bottom line – there’s enough ugliness to go around on all sides of the political spectrum. But if Obama goes down from racism – look to your own party and the “enlightened liberals” who aren’t so enlightened when they have the privacy of the voting booth.
Maybe, just maybe, Obama doesn’t win the election because a majority of the people will decide they don’t want someone with his far left ideology in the White House. But regardless of the reason – you guys will paint it as racist. You have too much invested in him as the perfect candidate and “messiah” to accept that he lost for any other reason. An Obama loss must be because of the ignorant, racist rednecks who are too stupid to understand what a perfect candidate he was. Anything else just won’t fit the narrative you have created for “The One”.
So, can you then explain to me how Palin was able to (while her water had broke) make a full speech then take an 8 hour flight with a connection and then have the baby in Alaska. She was in labor. If you are a doctor or know a woman who has been in labor, Palin broke all rules of science with that pregnancy!!

And I don’t know if the CNN in Canada is any different from the CNN in the US, but I have CNN on all day. And they do not say anything w/o having both sides COMMENTING ON THE ISSUE. Obama’s “connections” are mentioned practically everyday on CNN. They talk about the republican side. The republicans have a full voice on CNN. Then they discuss the liberal side. They have their voice too. I don’t know what media outlets you are watching, but if you see American CNN, you will see both sides!!!
So are you saying that those racists in those videos are actors? Because since it came from a liberal news source, it’s not true?

3) Where did I say or even imply that everyone on the Right are extremists?
4) Where did I say or even imply that very few on the Left are extremists? I think that there are fewer extremists on the LEFT IN AMERICA. I may be wrong. That is my opinion. Not fact.
5) Where did I ever say that 9-11 was an inside job?

You’d think that if you were the expert you pretend to be about my views and my writings, you’d know before you rush to judgement about me.
Well, I see you drew your fair share of inbred wingtards. You should feel good about that; whenever you send the ‘tards into a foamy-mouthed frenzy of long-discredited talking points, you’re doing a good job.
No wonder they went all to pieces over Terri Schiavo; considering how brain-dead so many of them are, they were probably SCARED.
Don’t let it get to you. Wingnuts from both sides don’t get moderates because it forces them to think. I hold both conservative and liberal beliefs and it’s people like us that will get scorned the most because we’re not faithful to either party. People hate that. I’ve heard some say that moderates make up the majority, but I just don’t see that.
@JR – You can smell a wingtard miles away – not just by their foam, but by their arguments. They never back their “facts” up.

Thinking – that’s what they DON’T do. That explains their disdain for moderates and also explains their knee-jerk reactionary comments. They just follow the herd and give “conservatives” a bad name. Radicals like Expat Texan have hijacked conservatism.
