This blog is hilarious, I havn’t laughed this hard in a while. You’re quite right though…you Americans do get a lot of negative stereotyping. It’s interesting how most if not all nations are stereotyped. Perhaps it’s noticed more when it is directed at our own nations/citizens. I’m Canadian and we are notoriious for being a bunch of beer guzzling, hockey stick swinging, Americas stupid cousin and ice fishing plaid wearing frenchmen that live in igloo’s. By the way… I happened upon this blog via a Google alert, [go figure!] i’m glad i did! When i hear this stuff it just makes me laugh though, I don’t take it personally. You have to look at where it’s coming from. Joking around is great…but we shouldn’t concern ourselves with what people that are that stupid and ignorant have to say!
Just remember that those that judge usually don’t know what the f*** they are talking about anyway, they just heard it somewhere and thought they would repeat it. STUPIDITY runs rampant…worldwide!

P.S For the record, for those that don’t know. Canada is a bilingual country however 95% of the french speaking people live in Quebec. The other 5% live around eastern Ontario and small pockets of them in western New Brunswick. The rest of the country speaks english with a few that are bilingual.

Naw. It’s Raincoaster (who ironically has a comedy blog) and his minions that come here and to my husband’s blog and never get the humor despite it being pretty obvious. It gets old after a while. For every politically correct hypersensitive Canadian, there’s an American to match.

I just have to laugh. Over at the WordPress.com forums, some Canadians have actually taken offence to this post. LOL Is it only Americans that have a sense of humor and can laugh? I reckon satire is not very common in Canada? I guess it didn’t help that I labeled my post in the “humor” category. Idiots! The whiny politically correct brats deserve to be offended just like they are when they watch South Park.

OK, I object. I have to live in Canada – but no one has shared this data with me. I have not reaped any sex benefits, and am constantly scolded that I should be locked up for refusing to recycle and curb my greenhouse gas emissions (read into that what you will).

To borrow a phrase from the Obama campaign: “This is not the Canada I knew”.
