I appreciate the "thank you", but I have to agree to disagree on that. I think Anti-Americanism is underrated. I am a news buff and I have only rarely heard about Anti-Americanism abroad on my own shores. Most Americans that I speak to have either never heard of it or undermine it.

This is not to say that you cannot have a pleasant travel elsewhere in the world without hecklers. I hope that is not how I come across in my blog. Nor do I want to come across with the implication that all-people-non-American hate Americans.

Suffice it to say, all the links denoting Anti-Americanism that you can find on this page as are mostly written by those people living in other countries that are non-American. Additionally, most of the support that I get on my blog are from non-Americans who are feeling sick and tired of rampant Anti-Americanism. From what I can see, the loudest voices come from them as, like I mentioned before, Americans (even if they have heard of it) really don't care who hates us and why. Other Americans think that the world loves us. And the left support Anti-Americanism so don't really feel the impact of the xenophobic attacks. I get the least amount of support from conservative Americans, ironically. Perhaps that is because conservatives are more positive people? The left and liberals tend to protest more, from my experience.

I only wish Anti-Americanism was simply overrated hype. And you are correct, Anti-Americanism is expressed more in the US than in any other country. Ironically, the Anti-Americans are unaware of this - which leads to more mindless hate.

Thank you for defending my country against defamation. I really appreciate it.

While Anti-Americanim exists, I honestly feel it is over rated.

When I was in England last year, I was a bit nervous, because American media had been saying how much we were hated in England. My husband by the way is from London and we were there to visit family.

Everywhere I went, people seemed excited to meet, talk to have hang out with "the American". So except for one guy, and we met load of people going out all day and night, mostly it was good.

It's our own media that plays it up, and in fact it is the American media that hates it's country the most.

Anyway, thanks.

I have to admit, I really like the term "sheeple", definitely worth more than $3. :) This is not an attack, nor an underhanded comment laden with irony, but a simple compliment.
